Nadleśnictwo Płock leży na terenach o najniższej lesistości w Polsce. Lasy Nadleśnictwa tworzy 9 dużych kompleksów o powierzchni od 200 do 2000 ha (łącznie 7059,92 ha) i 560 kompleksów o powierzchni poniżej 200 ha, rozproszonych na obszarze 2384,29 km2.
